OCS Application Process & Deadline We encourage you to begin the application process - a school tour, a written application, and a parent interview - as soon as possible. All parts of the application process must be completed by the last day of March to be included in the first round of admission decisions. Applications completed after this deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis if openings exist. If you are interested in our school. please contact our Enrollment Coordinator ((360) 866-8047), at any time of the year. The Enrollment Coordinator can tell you if openings currently exist. School Tour OCS believes that a visit to the school will provide a better understanding of how our philosophy matches your goals and intentions for educating your child. All prospective students must attend a tour and are welcome to participate in classroom activities. To arrange a tour, contact the Enrollment Coordinator by calling (360) 866-8047 or by email. Tours are currently scheduled Monday through Thursday mornings for one hour only, usually from 9:30 to 10:30. Please read the OCS Tour Policy before scheduling your tour, and once again before your visit. Admission Application Our application form provides you an opportunity to tell us about your child, your hopes for your child’s education, and your interest in OCS. Complete all portions of the Admission Application and submit it along with the non-refundable Application Fee made payable to "Olympia Community School." You may bring your application with you to your tour. The Application Fee is $20.00 if paid within ten days of the school tour and $25.00 thereafter. Parent Interview Once you have submitted your Admission Application, the Enrollment Committee will request an interview with you to discuss the goals of both your family and those of OCS. This interview offers you an opportunity to acquire additional information and to share particular goals and concerns you may have about your child. Following the interview you will be told the date by which we expect to notify applicants of admissions decisions. Tuition Olympia Community School is funded almost exclusively by tuition payments. Standard tuition is currently $5775 per year, with your choice of two payment plans. Each year OCS offers two reduced tuition spaces, three spaces with reduced tuition as compensation for parent jobs, and when available, part-time kindergarten spaces.
